Cannes Lions Festival / Soho Shorts / Straight 8 Competition

"What A Party" inspired Berlin director Michael Carstens to use the instrumental piece as concept material and music for his submission to the Straight8 (Kodak sponsored) 8mm competition. The film was selected for screenings at both the Cannes Lions Festival 2012 and Rushes Soho Shorts Film Festival 2012 in London.

After completing Brawl In Paradise as a solo project, the multi-instrumentalist Khan wanted to find a way of playing the album in a small but flexible duo or trio unit. He teamed up with drummer Romain Vicente and the two set to work designing a stage set-up that would allow them to play the rich electronic and musical elements from the record without resorting to backing tracks. After pulling apart the stems and sorting out the samples they hit the studio and played some select showcases in Italy, Germany and France. This video was recorded LIVE in Studio in Berlin:
